摘要：This invention concerns a computational engineering modelling tool (10) having
a point generation module (12) arranged to read geometry data representing a domain(24) to be modelled. The point generation module (12) also generates point data for thedomain having multiple boundary points (26) located on a boundary of the domain andmultiple further points (28) spaced from the boundary within the domain (24). A pointmutation module (14) processes the point generation module (12) output and generatesautomatically a plurality of alternative point data definitions for the domain in which thelocation of at least one point differs between each of the alternative point definitions. Ablocking module (16) discretizes the domain (24) by creating multiple geometric blocksover the domain using a computational geometric operator such that each point (26, 28)represents a vertex of at least one block. The blocking module outputs a discretizedcomputational model of the domain (24) and the tool scores the discretizedcomputational model according to a geometric attribute of the blocks.
