Welcome to Mount. Lu . I am your local guide, you can call me Xiao Chen .If you have any problems during your visit please do not hesitate to ask me . Mount. Lu is located in the northern part of Jiangxi Province, to the south of the Yangtze River and northwest of the Poyang Lake. According to records, it has a history of more than 2,000 years. It is one of China's famous mountains and covers an area of 300 square kilometers. It was included in the UNESCO world heritage list in 1996.
Today our travel route is that firstly we will go sightseeing of Quling Town, then Sandie Spring , Botanical Garden , Donglin Temple ，White Deer Cave, Tian Qiao ,The Greater Tianchi Lake.I wish you have a good trip with all my heart !
Now let me tell you something of Mount. Lu.
The mountain is a well-known scenic area, summer resort and sanitaria. There are imposing and magnificent peaks, unique waterfalls, and historical sites as well as a changing sea of clouds and a warm and comfortable climate.
Dear friends ,now we are standing in Guling Town, it is the center of the scenic area, and it is a unique city on the mountain. At an altitude of 1,167 meters, it is surrounded on three sides by mountains. To its north is Scissors Pass. A mountain highway leads to the various scenic spots from the city. The 1,211-meter-high Hanpo pass lies between the Peak of the Five Old Men and Jiuqi Peak.
OK, please look at this direction ,let we enjoy the sight of Sandie Spring ，which is also called “Drencher Spring”, it is the most poetic waterfall in China. There is a well known advertising words “if you fail to reach Sandie Spring ,you are not the visitor of Lushan Mountain”. Sandie Spring is the iconic sights in Lushan Mountain. As you can see , there are three waterfalls flowing through the cliffs, drop a total of 155 meters, it is very spectacular , and shock your soul . Sandie Spring has different characteristics of each stack. The first layer is like snow in the sky, the shape of the second layer looks like broken jade and ice, the third is like a dragon walking on the lake.
Now ,we are in Lushan Botanical Garden . It was founded in 1934, The former name is Lushan Botanical Garden forest. Lushan Botanical Garden covers an area of nearly 300 hectares, it has 3,400 kinds of plants, with pine and rhododendron as the main feature. Mount. Lu is rich in natural resources of medicinal plants, so it is called “we can get medicine within one step”. So after the end of our journey, you can buy some rare oriental medicine for your family or friends.
Please follow me to continue our tour , here is Donglin Temple , on the northwest slope of the mountain . It is the birthplace of the Pure Land Sect of Buddhism. Lushan Mountain has three religions and cultural resources, including Buddhism, Taoism, Confucian.
Now the building in front of us is White Deer Cave Academy . It is in a valley at the foot of the Peak of the Five Old Men . White Deer Cave Academy was one of the earliest institutes of higher learning in ancient China. The four famous
academies in China, including White Deer Cave Academy, Yuelu Academy, Shongyan Academy, Yingtian Academy.
Dear friends, please look up .Tian qiao is at the top of the flower footpath lake , you can see confrontation between two towering cliffs , like a broken bridge . There is a legend about it : Zhu Yuanzhang and Chen Youliang be fought in Poyang Lake . Zhu Yuanzhang’s amy lost the battle ，an ordinary soldier fled to Lushan Mountain. Not only was there no way in front of him, but also the enemy in the back. In a crisis situation, one dragon became a bridge , after Zhu’s amy cross the bridge , the bridge was broken when the dragon fly away，thus there is an exotic landscape in Lushan Mountain. Now ,dear friends you can take pictures with it.
