The following table outlines the steps for collecting a supportShow on a Brocade switch using HyperTerminal.
Running a supportShow 1. Create a telnet connection to the switch using hyper terminal. 2. Log into the switch with the username and password. 3. Click Transfer>Capture Text. 4. Type in the path and filename or choose Browse. 5. Type in supportShow. 6. Once the supportShow has completed it will return to the prompt. 7. Click Transfer>Capture Text>Stop. 8. The file should be opened in WordPad or Word. That will allow the carriage returns to be read properly.
